Curtis has over 25 years of experience in software development and technology leadership roles with global companies. His passion is solving complex business problems using technology and data analytics.
As Chief Data Scientist at Aleutian Consulting, Curtis created value by building custom solutions that solved specific business challenges. His work focused on data analytics and warehousing, sales force deployment, and pricing optimization.
Prior to joining Aleutian, Curtis was with British Telecom where he opened a software development center in Dalian, China. He handled all aspects of starting up and running the BT Design development center, growing a team from zero to a highly talented group of 60 developers within the first 12 months.
Prior to joining BT, Curtis was a member of the R&D labs for Sony in Tokyo where he developed pre-web cutting edge hypermedia system, built early network enabled PDA applications and developed core image processing technology. He was awarded numerous patents in both Japan and the US.
Curtis earned his MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He holds a BS in Computer Science from MIT where he was an undergraduate researcher at the nascent MIT Media Lab. During his free time, Curtis enjoys long distance running and public speaking. His latest adventure is running every street in Denver, Colorado.
